Part of the ongoing Awonoyoh Shibori subscription, this pattern Taka Ishii Shibori 06, The current series of this subscription has focused on unique shibori techniques created by Sensei Taka.
I used a Linen textile for this piece. The stitching pattern was fun to draw and easy to follow. The overall pattern when dyed has the appearance of mountain ranges as seen from above, in a smaller scale than the similar Akiyama Shibori pattern.
